AntiWood Power

I began AntiWood with a vision. A vision of creating one media source for two cities. I have received positive feedback from many, but I am still in need of assistance.

I've been launching a "viral marketing" campaign through inspirational writings. I want people to believe in the idea and try to make it happen. It could be a fun project that generates revenue for both cities forever. A .com based on ourselves. That's what AntiWood is.

Here is another inspirational writing called "AntiWood Power." I would like to thank those who have supported this venture so far. This is still the beginning. Be patient.

Merry Christmas.

"AntiWood Power"

We hold the power. There is nowhere in the Bay Area with undeveloped quality land like Antioch and Brentwood. We have the power to make THEM come work here...instead of us going to work there. The question is how do we do that?

What will be the next symbol of AntiWood?

#1. We develop an infastructure before the expansion. Transportation needs to be up to par. The goal is to move people in and out of the area in an orderly manner. I have learned from working in a restaurant that to make money you need a steady flow of people. We will encourage new companies to stagger their workweeks. People stay up late nowadays on the West Coast. 9-5? How about that 12-8. Or 11-7. The system is too stagnant. We need to switch it up to meet our needs.

#2. We use the environment to our advantage. A lot of people underappreciate the beauty of Antioch and Brentwood. We attract people to work in our city by giving them a calm setting to work around. Will skilled workers of the 21st century want to work in a congested city? Or have a view of Mt. Diablo on their 3rd floor balcony? I think we all know the answer to that. That's why we live out here.

#3. Develop AntiWood.com. We find a team of web designers to work on the project. We discover young reporters to post video news reports on the blog. We see a $12 blog turn into a two-city project right before our eyes. The question you need to ask yourself is if you build it will they come? You know what they say "Start building and find out."

Don't forget about the 3 M's. Money. We're relentless in getting money. We will make money every second of every day. Morals. We go about things in a transparent way. We look to set an example for the community. Modernization. There's only one chance to develop land in the real world. We can't screw this up.

  1. Hopefully the traffic issue will be resolved once 4 gets upgraded to a 4 lane freeway. However there is still the issue of population, i think we can all agree that the majority of the Brentwood and Antioch population are good hard working people. Unfortunately there are also people that couldn't care less for the well being of their town and quite frankly "Sh*t where they eat". Before businesses begin seeing Antioch/Brentwood as a possible location to expand to those people need to be taken care off. Because of them not only does our town look unappealing to business owners but also to people looking to buy houses, less people means less tax revenue to spend on city improvements.

  2. One the main goals is to bring the hard working people together to form one network. We will not turn a blind eye to the crime going on...but we will tend to focus more on the positive things. The crime reporting will make people more aware of what's going on around them. It will not be used as a fear tactic.

If we sit there and CONSTANTLY tell ourselves we are the 91st most dangerous city in America then we're never gonna advance. It's all a mentality thing. I still don't get why people love to bash their own city so much. You can be realistic without demeaning anything.

AntiWood is a new media source that gives Antioch and Brentwood residents a chance to tell our complete story. When we think AntiWood we think of the hard working people. When others hear about it they think of the crime reported in the media. Why should we settle for that?

I appreciate your response. I do believe you are right about the crime issue...but there's so much more to a community then that. I think we all can agree on that. AntiWood is a place for us to write the real story of what the people of Antioch and Brentwood are about.
